On the binary nature of Pleione.

Abstract (from CDS):
From analysis of radial velocity measurements the binary nature of Pleione is discussed. A possible orbital period of about 35yr was detected. This value also coincides with the variations of the spectral properties of the star (shell- non-shell phase). An elliptical orbit of high eccentricity (e>0.75) is probable. The mass of the companion is probably not smaller than about 2.5M☉.
