The nova rate in galaxies of different Hubble types.

Abstract (from CDS):
We have analyzed the total sample of novae discovered at Asiago in the course of two surveys of M33. The nova rate has been determined through the `control time' method and a value of RM33≃5 novae/yr is derived. We discuss possible differences between the nova production rate in bulge-dominated and bulgeless galaxies. Galaxies having late Hubble type are found to be more prolific nova producers than bulge dominated systems.
