Abstract (from CDS):

Confusing data have been published about the optical identification of the radiosource PKS 1349-439 and a UVX radioquiet companion Q 1349-439. New spectroscopic observations confirm that PKS 1349-439 is a BL Lac object, while Q 1349-439 is a Seyfert 1 galaxy at z=0.052.
