Abstract (from CDS):
In an ESO collaborative effort entitled ``Long Term Photometry of Variables'', the Stroemgren photometric system has been used, among others, for the study of pre-main sequence Herbig Ae/Be (HAeBe) stars. The results of this study, revealing important properties of these very young stars, are discussed.
