SIMBAD references

The constraints obtained by several authors (Eke et al., 1998MNRAS.298.1145E; Henry, 2000ApJ...534..565H) on the estimated values of Ω_m, n and σ₈ are revisited in the light of recent theoretical developments: 1) new theoretical mass functions; 2) a more accurate mass-temperature relation, also determined for arbitrary Ω_m and Ω_Λ. I re-derive the X-ray Temperature Function (XTF), similarly to Henry (2000ApJ...534..565H) and Eke et al. (2000MNRAS.315L..18E), re-obtaining the constraints on Ω_m, n, σ₈. The result shows that changes in the mass function and M-T relation produces an increase in Ω_m of ≃20% and similar results in σ₈ and n.
