Abstract (from CDS):
The physical conditions in the photosphere of the cool component of a symbiotic binary CH Cyg are investigated. The TiO absorption bands in the spectral region 450-948 nm from the spectra taken during the 1998-2000 active phase have been identified as members of the α, γ, γ', β, δ, φ and ε band systems. The temperatures of the coolest layers in the M7.5 giant's photosphere have been determined.
