Abstract (from CDS):
Further to IAUC 8544, E. Lee and W. Li report the LOSS discovery of an apparent supernova on unfiltered KAIT images taken on June 20.48 (at mag 17.3) and 21.47 UT (mag 17.4). SN 2005co is located at R.A. = 23h30m53s.58, Decl. = -2o56'18".4 (equinox 2000.0), which is 1".1 east and 16".0 south of the center of IC 1496. A KAIT image taken on 2004 Dec. 12.16 showed nothing at this position (limiting mag about 19.5).
