Abstract (from CDS):

A spectrogram of SN 2005ki (CBET 294), obtained Nov. 20.6 with SNIFS, shows it to be a young, blue type-Ia supernova. The spectrum is similar to that of SN 1994D at an age of -9 days with respect to maximum, at a redshift consistent with that of the host galaxy, NGC 3332 (z = 0.019607; Falco et al. 1999, PASP 111, 438).
