SIMBAD references

SN 2005lw is a young type-II supernova with the characteristic H-alpha and He I 587.5-nm P-Cyg line profiles. Assuming the recession velocity of 7710 km/s for the host galaxy (da Costa et al. 1998, A.J. 116, 1), an expansion velocity of 10400 km/s is derived from the absorption minimum of the H-beta line. A narrow interstellar Na I 589.3-nm absorption at the redshift of the host galaxy is detected with an equivalent width of 0.27 nm, suggesting significant dust reddening.
