Abstract (from CDS):
Further to IAUC 8662, W. Li reports the LOSS discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 17.2) on unfiltered KAIT images taken on Jan. 24.11 and 25.13 UT. SN 2006Q is located at R.A. = 1h38m18s.74, Decl. = +35o21'54".5 (equinox 2000.0), which is 2".5 east and 1".0 north of the nucleus of NGC 634. A KAIT image taken on Jan. 13.11 showed nothing at this positon (limiting mag 19.5).
