Supernova 2005ke in NGC 1371.

GREEN D.W.E.

Abstract (from CDS):

An excess of x-ray counts is detected from the position of the supernova (3- to 3.5-sigma level of significance, depending on the location of the background-extraction regions) in the merged XRT data ranging from 8 to 76 days after the explosion (Nov. 6 ± 2). The XRT count rate of (2.2 ± 0.6) x 10**(-4) cts/s corresponds to a 0.3- to 2-keV flux and luminosity of (4 ± 1) x 10**(-15) ergs/cm**2/s and (2.0 ± 0.5) x 10**38 ergs/s, respectively, for an adopted thermal plasma spectrum with a temperature of kT = 10 keV and a distance of 20.7 Mpc.
