Abstract (from CDS):
Further to IAUC 8664, J. Burket and W. Li report the LOSS discovery of an apparent supernova on unfiltered KAIT images taken on Feb. 5.54 (AT mag 16.6) and 6.48 UT (mag 16.7). SN 2006W is located at R.A. = 14h27m26s.09, Decl. = +25o31'09".8 (equinox 2000.0), which is 1".2 east and 17".5 north of the center of UGC 9265. A KAIT image taken on 2005 July 14.22 showed nothing at this position (limiting mag 19.0).
