Abstract (from CDS):
SN 2006af (estimated mag r = 19.5 ± 0.3) was observed on Feb. 4.38 and is located at R.A. = 10h33m57s.18, Decl. = +20o20'25".7, and it also appears to be a type-Ia supernova with an approximate age of 4 ± 2 days before maximum light (the host galaxy has apparent mag r = 16.11 from an image taken prior to the supernova event on 2005 Mar. 12; its redshift is z = 0.0873).
