SIMBAD references

G. Pignata, J. Maza, M. Hamuy, R. Antezana, L. Gonzalez, P. Gonzalez, P. Lopez, S. Silva, and G. Folatelli, Universidad de Chile; and D. Reichart, K. Ivarsen, A. Crain, D. Foster, M. Nysewander, and A. LaCluyze, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, on behalf of the CHASE project, report their independent discovery of 2008cy on Luminance-filter images taken on June 7.09 (at mag approximately 16.0) and 7.99 UT (mag approximately 15.9) with the 0.41-m "PROMPT 2" telescope at Cerro Tololo. They measure the position of 2008cy to be R.A. = 15h16m52s.09 ± 0".2, Decl. = -13o25'14".0 ± 0".2 (equinox 2000), which is about 8".9 west and 7".0 south of center of the apparent host galaxy. Nothing is visible at this position on archival images taken on May 25.08 and 20.13 (limiting mag 18.0).
