SIMBAD references

E. Y. Hsiao, M. L. Graham, C. J. Pritchet, A. Parker, S. Sadavoy, and D. Balam, Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Victoria, report that a spectrogram (range 390-703 nm, resolution 0.3 nm) of 2008hp, obtained on Nov. 26.44 UT with the 1.82-m Plaskett Telescope of the National Research Council of Canada, shows it to be a type-Ia supernova about 11 days past maximum light. Cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the "Supernova Identification" code (Blondin and Tonry 2007, Ap.J. 666, 1024) indicates that 2008hp is most similar to the type-Ia supernova 1994ae at 11 days past maximum light. The redshift derived from this fit is 0.027.
