SIMBAD references

M. Stritzinger, Las Campanas Observatory (LCO); and V. Stanishev, Centro Multidisciplinar de Astrofisica, Instituto Superior Tecnico, Lisbon, on behalf of the Carnegie Supernova Project, report that a spectrum (range 380-940 nm) of 2008iq (cf. CBET 1642), obtained on Jan. 5.1 UT with the 6.5-m Magellan II (Clay) telecope (+ LDSS3) at LCO, reveals it to be a type-Ia supernova around two weeks past maximum; adopting a host-galaxy recession velocity of 21798 km/s (SDSS data release 2) for the host galaxy (SDSS J103926.99+050524.4), Si II is measured to be blue-shifted by roughly 9000 km/s.
