Further CSS magnitudes for 2009al: Feb. 5.31 UT, [20.3; 16.39, 18.9. Following posting on the Central Bureau's unconfirmed-objects webpage, M. Nissinen (Varkaus, Finland) writes that he and V.-P. Hentunen obtained R-band CCD images (limiting mag 16.9) on Feb. 27.28 remotely with a 30-cm reflector near Mayhill, NM, that show 2009al at mag 15.8 with position end figures 22s.13, 42".3 (which is 50" west and 39" north of the center of the galaxy NGC 3425); nothing is visible at this position on a Palomar Sky Survey F plate (no date or limiting magnitude provided).
