The new object, which was confirmed at mag 17.2 on images (limiting mag 19.3) taken by T. Orff on Oct. 17.50 with a 0.40-m reflector at Portal, is located at R.A. = 9:40:57.83, Decl. = +47o37m04s.0 (equinox 2000.0), which is 3".2 west and 9".9 south of the center of UGC 5157.
