Abstract (from CDS):

K. Hornoch, Astronomical Institute, Ondrejov, Czech Republic, reports that he was able to confirm the presence of this apparent nova on a 180-s R-band CCD frame taken by P. Kubanek, N. Morales, J. L. Ortiz, J. Gorosabel, and M. Jelinek with the 1.23-m telescope at Calar Alto on Jan. 29.821 UT, yielding magnitude R = 16.8 ± 0.1 and position end figures 20s.31, 30".1 (offset 407" east and 1058" south of the center of M31).
