Abstract (from CDS):

M. Yamanaka, M. Sasada, and R. Itoh, Hiroshima University; and A. Arai, Kyoto Sangyo University, report that they obtained low-resolution optical spectroscopy (resolution 400) of this nova on Apr. 24 UT at the Higashi- Hiroshima Observatory. The spectrum shows strong emissions of H-alpha and O I (777.4, 822.7, and 844.6 nm) lines. The H-alpha emission is broadened, with FWZI roughly 8600 km/s. The profile of H-alpha shows a double-peaked profile with a blue-shifted component. Weak emission lines of He I are seen in the spectrum. The H-beta line was not detected in the spectrum due to the high reddening. The deep Na I D line absorption corresponds to high reddening by interstellar dust.
