SIMBAD references

G. H. Marion, Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics and University of Texas; J. Vinko, University of Szeged; and J. C. Wheeler, University of Texas, report that a spectrum (range 430-1000 nm) of 2010it (cf. CBET 2498) was obtained by J. Caldwell on Oct. 15 UT with the 9.2-m Hobby-Eberly Telescope (+ Marcario Low-Resolution Spectrograph). Cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the "Supernova Identification" code (SNID; Blondin and Tonry 2007, Ap.J. 666, 1024) shows that 2010it is a type-Ia supernova a few days before maximum brightness. The velocity of the Si II 635.5-nm feature is measured to be 10400 km/s.
