Abstract (from CDS):

J. M. Silverman, M. T. Kandrashoff, A. J. L. Morton, and A. V. Filippenko, University of California, Berkeley, report that inspection of a fairly noisy CCD spectrum (range 340-1000 nm), obtained on Nov. 2 UT with the 3-m Shane reflector (+ Kast) at Lick Observatory, shows that 2010is (CBET 2497) is a type-Ib (or possibly a type-Ic) supernova.
