SIMBAD references

R. J. Foley, Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, reports that inspection of CCD spectra (range 450-1020 nm), obtained on Aug. 29 UT with the Magellan Baade 6.5-m telescope (+ IMACS), shows that PSN J05325279-1405170 = SN 2011fi is a type-II supernova. It has a relatively normal spectrum; however, there exists a narrow, low-velocity H_alpha absorption feature. After removing a host-galaxy recession velocity of 3130 km/s, the minimum of this feature is blueshifted by 2200 km/s and has a FWHM of 1000 km/s.
