Further to CBET 2837, S. B. Cenko, W. Li, and A. V. Filippenko report the LOSS discovery of an apparent supernova on unfiltered KAIT images:

The variable was designated PSN J09421136+0440231 when it was posted on the Central Bureau's TOCP webpage and is here designated SN 2011in based on the spectroscopic confirmation reported below. Nothing was visible at the position of 2011in on a KAIT image from May 3.21 UT (limiting mag 18.5).
