SIMBAD references

G. Pignata, Universidad Andres Bello; and T. De Jaeger, Universidad de Chile, on behalf of the Millennium Center for Supernova Science collaboration, report that a low-dispersion spectrogram (range 370-940 nm) of PSN J19120821-3207370 = SN 2012dl, obtained on June 23.1 UT with the 6.5-m Magellan II Clay telescope (+ LDSS3), shows that it is a type-Ia supernova. Cross- correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the Supernova Identification Code (SNID; Blondin and Tonry 2007, Ap.J. 666, 1024) gives a good match with SN 1994D at three weeks after maximum light.
