SIMBAD references

L. Tomasella, S. Benetti, E. Cappellaro, A. Pastorello, and M. Turatto, Osservatorio Astronomico di Padova, Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica, report that a spectrogram of PSN J02305204+2228459 = 2012fk, obtained on Oct. 22.92 UT with the Asiago 1.82-m Copernico Telescope (+ AFOSC range 350-820 nm, resolution 1.3 nm), indicates that it is a type-Ia supernova. Cross- correlation with a library of supernova spectra via the "Supernova Identification" code (SNID; Blondin and Tonry 2007, Ap.J. 666, 1024) and via GELATO (Harutyuyan et al. 2008, A.Ap. 488, 383) shows that 2012fk has a redshift of about 0.035 and is similar to several normal type-Ia supernovae at maximum light. The expansion velocity deduced from the Si II 635.5-nm absorption is then 11600 km/s.
