The Evolutionary Status of 17 Com, The Hottest Member of Coma Berenices.

MONIER R. and DEAL M.

Abstract (from CDS):

The integrated flux, linear radius and effective temperature of 17 Com A (A0p CrEu), the hottest member of the Coma Berenices open cluster, are determined using the Infrared Flux Method. The surface gravity is derived by fitting the Hβ profile. The effective temperature and surface gravity are found to be smaller than most previous determinations. The evolutionary status of 17 Com A is discussed in light of these new parameters using stellar evolution modeling. 17 Com A appears to be finishing its lifetime on the Main Sequence.
