WR6: A Rejuvenated Runaway Star.

GVARAMADZE V.V.

Abstract (from CDS):

WR6 is considered as a runaway star because of its large separation from the Galactic mid-plane. In this note, we use Gaia DR2 data on WR6 and the systemic velocity of the nebula around this star to derive the space velocity of WR6 of ${38.1}_{-6.5}^{+9.0}\,\,\mathrm{km}\,{{\rm{s}}}^{-1}$, confirming that this star is indeed a runaway. Possible implications of this finding are discussed.
