Frequency-resolved Lag Predictions of the Corona-heated Accretion-disk Reprocessing Model Agree Well with the UV/Optical Reverberation Mapping of Mrk 817.

Abstract (from CDS):

The frequency-resolved time lags of UV/optical reverberation mappings of active galactic nuclei (AGNs) can uniquely probe the accretion physics around supermassive black holes. In previous work, we made frequency-resolved lag predictions for Mrk 817, the AGN STORM II target, based on the Corona-Heated Accretion-disk Reprocessing model. Recently, the frequency-resolved time lags of Mrk 817 have been reported. Here we show that the reported time lags are fully consistent with our earlier theoretical predictions.
