Kast Optical Spectra of Unclassified Stars Within 20 pc of the Sun.

Abstract (from CDS):

M- and L-type dwarfs are abundant in the Milky Way, yet many of these nearest sources remain poorly characterized. We present optical spectra for 67 low-luminosity sources within 20 pc of the Sun, 41 of which are optically classified for the first time. We determine spectral classifications spanning M3-L3, and report indicators of metallicity and magnetic activity. We identify two sources with discrepant classifications in the literature, and report a likely binary system LP 546-37.
