Observations and physics of galactic superluminal sources.

LEVINSON A. and BLANDFORD R.

Abstract (from CDS):

The physical conditions within the two Galactic superluminal sources discovered recently, their interaction with their environment, and their possible formation are examined and contrasted with their extragalactic counterparts, with emphasis on the observational consequences. In particular, the minimum jet power implied by the observations, jet content, and possible formation and confinement scenarios are considered. The implications for the relationship between radio, optical, X-and-γ-ray emission, and the possible formation of detectable, low frequency radio lobes extending up to several hundred parsecs in size are also discussed.
