The electron-impact broadening effect in CP stars: the case of La II, La III, Eu II, and Eu III lines.

Abstract (from CDS):

The electron-impact widths and shifts for six EuII lines and widths for three LaII, and six LaIII multiplets have been calculated by using the modified semiempirical method. Estimation for Stark widths of 664.506nm (EuII) and 666.634nm (EuIII) lines are given as well. The influence of the electron-impact mechanism on line shapes and equivalent widths in hot star atmospheres has been considered.
