Discovery of eclipsing binary nature of SAO 31628 = BD+49 2997, common comparison star for CH Cygni.

SOKOLOSKI J.L. and STONE R.P.S.

Abstract (from CDS):

SAO 31628, which is frequently used as a constant comparison star in observations of the variable symbiotic CH Cygni, has been found to be an eclipsing binary. The eclipse, which is seen in B light, lasts 5 hours and produces a flux decrease of over 20. We propose that SAO 31628 has an orbital period of 3.74783(3) days.
