An X-ray study of the helium-disk dwarf nova V803 Centauri.

SZKODY P., NISHIKIDA K. and LILLER W.

Abstract (from CDS):

Rossi X-Ray Timing Explorer observations of the helium-rich dwarf nova V803 Cen were conducted throughout an entire outburst cycle of 23 hr. The X-ray count rate is very low and does not change during the outburst cycle. The X-ray spectrum is consistent with a 10 keV bremsstrahlung source with a column density of 6x1020 cm–2. We compare the X-ray and optical properties of this system with those of dwarf novae with hydrogen disks.
