Abstract (from CDS):

Maximum timings of the RRab star RU Canum Venaticourm were obtained by CCD photometry. New instantaneous elements (for the most recent epoch after 2439000) are derived from photographic and visual maxima available from the RR-Lyrae database (1) and from the new CCD-obser- vations (see table 1): E0=2452373.47; P=0.5732535 (d) as the recent observations revealed clear deviations in maximum timings (calculated from elemnts given in the SAC) by some 1.3 hours. The O-C-diagram indicates a possible periodic change of the pulsation period. The observed "rise time" (m-M/P = 0.138 ± 0.004 was very consistent but differed from the literature value of 0.16 (2). No obvious indications for light curve changes or Blazhko-effect were observed in the years 1999-2002.
