Further to IAUC 8243, W. Li reports the LOSS discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 14.8) on unfiltered KAIT images taken on Nov. 27.4 UT. SN 2003kf is located at R.A. = 6h04m35s.42, Decl. = -12o37'42".8 (equinox 2000.0), which is 9".2 east and 14".3 south of the center of MCG -02-16-2. Following requests from the Central Bureau, confirmation was obtained on unfiltered CCD images by M. Armstrong (Rolvenden, Kent, England; 0.35-m reflector; mag 14.3 on Nov. 28.022; position end figures 35s.47, 42".5) and by K. Itagaki (Teppo-cho, Yamagata, Japan; 0.60-m reflector; mag 15.7 on Nov. 28.540; position end figures 35s.46, 42".5; communicated via S. Nakano, Sumoto, Japan).
