Abstract (from CDS):
Further to IAUC 8175, M. Ganeshalingam and W. Li report the LOTOSS discovery of an apparent supernova on unfiltered KAIT images taken on Aug. 9.5 (mag about 17.4) and 10.5 UT (mag about 17.3). SN 2003hd is located at R.A. = 1h49m46s.31, Decl. = -21o54'37".8 (equinox 2000.0), which is 11".0 west and 10".2 south of the nucleus of MCG -04-5-10. A KAIT image taken on Jan. 1.2 showed nothing at this position (limiting mag about 19.0).
