Abstract (from CDS):

Comparison star magnitude sequences on older AAVSO charts come from various sources and often differ from magnitudes in the modern V system. Archived variable star data in the AAVSO International Database can be transformed by various algorithms. The transformed observations can be better combined with modern observations.
