Further to IAUC 8288, D. Singer, H. Pugh, and W. Li report the LOSS discovery of three apparent supernovae on unfiltered KAIT images: SN 2004 UT R.A. (2000.0) Decl. Mag. SN 2004am in M82 (= NGC 3034) is present on numerous earlier KAIT images, as indicated by the following measured magnitudes, but it sits on a bright (H II?) spot (which was subtracted for the derived magnitudes), causing the detection software to miss the new object: 2003 May 2.17 UT, [19.0; Nov. 21.57, 16.0; Nov. 23.54, 16.1; Dec. 28.43, 16.3; 2004 Jan. 2.49, 16.4; Jan. 17.36, 16.4; Jan. 21.40, 16.4; Jan. 30.32, 16.4; Feb. 5.32, 16.4.
