Supernova 2006ea in UGC 12134.

FILIPPENKO A.V., WONG D.S., SILVERMAN J.M., MOORE M. and FOLEY R.J.

Abstract (from CDS):

A. V. Filippenko, D. S. Wong, J. M. Silverman, M. Moore, and R. J. Foley, University of California, Berkeley, report that inspection of CCD spectra (range 330-1040 nm), obtained on July 27 UT with the Shane 3-m reflector (+ Kast spectrograph) at Lick Observatory, shows that 2006ea is a supernova, probably of type Ib, about 1 week past maximum brightness. He I absorption lines appear to be present, although there is a chance that the object is of type Ia about 2 weeks past maximum.
