LI W.

Abstract (from CDS):

Further to IAUC 8829, W. Li reports the discovery of an apparent supernova on unfiltered KAIT images taken on July 19.47 (at mag 17.9), 26.48 (mag 17.3), 27.45 (mag 17.1), and 28.42 UT (mag 17.4). The new object is located at R.A. = 23h57m31.42, Decl. = +47o27'02".4 (equinox 2000.0), which is 4".0 east and 1".3 north of the nucleus of a galaxy that is located 11".1 east and 38".4 north of MCG +08-1-13. SN 2007ge is also 1".8 east and 1".3 south of a foreground object, either a faint star or a compact galaxy. A KAIT image taken on July 9.49 showed nothing at this location (limiting mag 18.8).
