Abstract (from CDS):

A. Sehgal, Seattle, WA, U.S.A., reports the discovery with T. Puckett of two apparent supernovae on CCD images taken with telescopes at Ellijay, GA, in the course of the Puckett Observatory Supernova Search. SN 2007hu was found with E. Guido (of Castellammare di Stabia, Italy) using the 0.35-m reflector, and 2007hv was found with R. Gagliano (of Cottonwood, AZ, U.S.A.) using the 0.50-m reflector. SN Date UT R.A. (2000.0) Decl. Mag. Offset 2007hu Sept. 9.09 16 56 29.96 +27 58 40.4 17.7 1".3 W, 1".4 N 2007hv Sept. 9.37 3 47 23.90 +45 58 13.2 18.1 9".4 E, 22.7 N Additional magnitudes for 2007hu in NGC 6261: Sept. 4, [19.2 (Sehgal, using a telescope at Osoyoos, BC, Canada); 9.9, 17.3 (G. Sostero, Remanzacco, Italy). Additional magnitudes for 2007hv in UGC 2858: Aug. 30, [19.2 (Sehgal); 9.99, 17.9 (Sostero). The limiting magnitude on the discovery image of 2007hu was 20.1, and the limiting magnitude on the discovery image of 2007hv was 19.6.
