Abstract (from CDS):

J. L. Prieto, Carnegie Observatories; R. Khan, Ohio State University; A. J. Drake, S. G. Djorgovski, A. Mahabal, M. J. Graham, and R. Williams, California Institute of Technology; M. Catelan, Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile; E. C. Beshore and S. M. Larson, Lunar and Planetary Laboratory, University of Arizona; and E. Christensen, Gemini Observatory, report the CRTS discovery of nine confirmed supernovae and two apparent supernovae in unfiltered images from the Catalina Sky Survey (CSS) 0.7-m telescope and the 1.5-m Mt. Lemmon Survey (MLS) telescope, with the discovery observations tabulated below. The spectroscopic types tabulated below were from observations made with the Boller and Chivens CCD Spectrograph on the 2.4-m Hiltner telescope at MDM Observatory between Jan. 8 and 15 UT; cross-correlation was made with a library of supernovae spectra using the SuperNova IDentification code (SNID; Blondin and Tonry 2007, Ap.J. 666, 1024), and the spectra reveal the following redshifts: 2009ns z = 0.05; 2009nu, 0.04; 2009nv, 0.09; 2009nw, 0.14; 2010I, 0.06; 2010J, 0.17; 2010K, 0.02; 2010L, 0.07; 2010M, 0.06.
