Supernova 2010Y in NGC 3392.

CORTINI G.

Abstract (from CDS):

Giancarlo Cortini, Predappio, Italy, reports the discovery an apparent supernova (mag about 15.9) on several unfiltered CCD images (limiting mag near 18.5) taken on Feb. 8.87 UT during his supernova-search program with a 0.35-m telescope at Monte Maggiore Observatory. The new object is located at R.A. = 10:51:03.95, Decl. = +65:46:47 (equinox 2000.0) which is 15" east and 7" south of the center of the galaxy NGC 3392. Nothing is visible at this position on his previous image of the same field taken on 2009 Dec. 27.81 (limiting mag about 18.5) or on Palomar Sky Survey red and blue plates.
