After posting on the Central Bureau's unconfirmed-objects webpage, F. Ciabattari, S. Donati, E. Mazzoni, and M. Rossi, Borgo a Mozzano, Italy, report their independent discovery of 2010gb on unfiltered CCD images obtained on July 10.89 (limiting mag 18.5) and July 11.87-11.90 UT (limiting mag 18.7) with a 0.5-m Newtonian reflector, noting mag 15.8 on July 10.89 and mag 16.2 on July 11; they measured position end figures 39s.80, 20".1, and add that nothing is visible at this position on DSS plates from the Palomar Sky Survey on 1993 Apr. 17 (F plate, limiting mag 20.3) and 1990 Mar. 31 (J plate, limiting mag 20.3).
