Supernova 2010gv.

BALAM D. and CHISHOLM E.

Abstract (from CDS):

Further to CBETs 2404 and 2408, D. Balam and E. Chisholm, National Research Council of Canada, obtained CCD images of 2010gv on Aug. 13.33 UT using the 1.82-m Plaskett telescope, showing the new object at R.A. = 17:58:22.57, Decl. = +50:47:34.3 (equinox 2000.0), which is 2".3 east and 1".2 N north the core of the faint galaxy SDSS J175822.33+504733.1, noting that there is no source visible at this position on the Sloan Digital Sky Survey DR7 images (to limiting R magnitude about 22) or on the Palomar Sky Survey. Using the SDSS catalogue star SDSS J175818.72+504702.2 as a secondary standard and converting the SDSS magnitudes to the Kron_Cousins system, they derive a differential magnitude of R = 15.85.
