L. Elenin, Lyubertsy, Russia, reports his discovery of an apparent supernova on four 240-s images taken remotely at the ISON-NM Observatory near Mayhill, NM, USA, with a 0.45-m f/2.8 telescope (+ KAF09000 camera chip) on Nov. 18.230 UT. The new object is located at R.A. = 6:58:07.68 ± 0".1, Decl. = +37:13:11.7 ± 0".1 (equinox 2000.0; UCAC3 reference stars), which is about 17" west and 6" north of the center of the presumed host galaxy. Nothing is visible at this position on eight Palomar Sky Survey images. The object was designated PSN J06580768+3713117 when it was posted at the Central Bureau's TOCP webpage and is here designated SN 2011ij based on the spectroscopic confirmation reported below. The discovery image was posted at website URL http://spaceobs.org/images/TOCP/PSNJ06580768+3713117.jpg. Additional CCD magnitudes for 2011ij (unfiltered unless noted otherwise): Nov. 18.505, 18.8 (Joseph Brimacombe, Cairns, Australia; luminance filter; position end figures 07.67, 11".2; image posted at the following website URL: http://www.flickr.com/photos/43846774@N02/6362300663/); 19.087, 18.9 (F.
