Radiative Parameters of Odd-parity Levels in Sm III.

Abstract (from CDS):

Experimental radiative lifetimes for eight odd-parity levels belonging to 4f55d configurations of Sm III were measured by the time-resolved laser-induced fluorescence method. To our knowledge, the lifetimes for four out of the eight levels were measured for the first time. By combining our experimental lifetimes and the theoretical branching fractions derived from the Database on Rare Earths at Mons University, the transition probabilities and oscillator strengths for 23 Sm III lines were derived, two of which were reported for the first time.
