The Lack of RR Lyrae Variable in the Ultrafaint Dwarf Galaxy Ursa Major III/UNIONS 1.

NGEOW C.-C.

Abstract (from CDS):

Ursa Major III is the faintest known ultrafaint dwarf galaxy to date, and expected to lack of RR Lyrae due to its extreme faintness (MV = +2.2 mag). Using known all-sky RR Lyrae catalogs, I performed a dedicated search of RR Lyrae around Ursa Major III and found none. I concluded Ursa Major III indeed does not have any RR Lyrae.
