Spectroscopic Evidence for a New Supernova Remnant in IC 1613.

GLASMAN P., DRISSEN L. and ST-LOUIS N.

Abstract (from CDS):

We present evidence for the existence of a second supernova remnant (SNR) in the nearby dwarf galaxy IC 1613 based on data obtained with the imaging Fourier transform spectrometer SITELLE at the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope. Located near the western edge of its host galaxy, this shell-like structure with a diameter of 55 pc exhibits distinctive SNR spectroscopic features including a high [S II]:Hα ratio, the presence of the [O I]λ6300 line, and a significant velocity dispersion.
